Ultrasound
Ultrasonography is now a very popular diagnostic technique in Veterinary medicine, there are even dedicated specialists in this area. As a clinic, we have invested heavily in ultrasound, both in terms of state-of-the-art equipment and training for our staff.
Like so many other procedures it is completely painless allows vets to take a closer look at your pet’s internal health. For example, we can take a non-invasive look at the abdomen, the heart, liver, kidney, lungs or bladder all using ultrasound. Veterinary ultrasound is no different to human ultrasounds, which for example are used during pregnancy. As well as being painless, ultrasounds are often a very quick way to diagnose or rule out certain conditions. Again, they are performed under sedation. However, in some instances this is not required.
